There’s a massive shift happening in the industry for online service-based entrepreneurs. While it’s common to hear about changes all the time, this shift has been building for years. Recently, I’ve noticed it more than ever. Conversations with clients and new inquiries for my Mastermind and coaching sessions have highlighted a common theme—people are tired of following the perceived rules for success and scaling, and are ready to switch up their business model.
There’s an abundance of strategies preached online by coaches and industry leaders. These often promise six-figure years (or even months!) through their methods, which, although amazing, can create pressure to follow someone else’s path. The narrative suggests you must do certain things to be successful. Many are yearning to ditch these rules and tap into a reality where they don’t have to hustle non-stop, build complex marketing funnels, or be present on every social media platform.
Instead of feeling pressured to always do more, many desire a simpler, more sustainable business approach. They seek a business model that’s more aligned with their true desires, rather than being spread thin across multiple channels.
One important conversation I’ve been having is about pivoting. It can be daunting, but many feel an inclination to pivot—whether starting a new business, entering a different industry, or just changing their existing business or marketing model. It’s important to realize that different seasons in business and life require different approaches. What served you in the past may no longer be fulfilling.
Switching up your business model might mean letting go of offers that aren’t serving you or trying new strategies. Whether moving away from one-on-one work or exploring group programs and passive offers, it’s about designing a business that excites you and feels sustainable.

When it comes to your marketing model, adding public speaking to the mix can offer amazing benefits. You can treat speaking as an offer—not just as a new way to get paid, but as a visibility strategy that allows you to scale your business in new ways. Speaking engagements allow you to share your message broadly and bring clients into your world, diversifying your business model and amplifying your impact.
Tune into episode 186 of the Whole Damn Vibe Podcast for a riff on how to add public speaking to your business model as a visibility strategy.
Ultimately, building a sustainable business model is about enabling a fuller life. It’s ensuring space for what truly matters, like hobbies, experiences, and making memories. When your business supports your life aspirations, you can lead with passion and intention.
Regardless of whether you’re ready to switch up your business model, launch new offers, or embrace public speaking, the path forward is about doing things your way. This is your invitation to make empowered, intentional decisions that fit your goals so that your business and your lifestyle are a whole damn vibe.
